A new Accomplishment

This weekend we took Mason and Ava for a walk around the block like we always do when it is nice outside. When we got back to the house Mason asked us if he could take his training wheels off of his bike and learn to ride ride without them. Josh and I looked at each other and said, "I guess so". The first time he got on his bike he took off. He never really fell off or got frustrated. Needless to say he is a bike rider without training wheels. He is so proud of himself and so are we. This is another sign that is growing up and I can't believe it.Ava wanted help with taking the training wheels off and of course she had to be in the picture!!

This is Mason first time on the bike with the training wheels. We could believe how fast he picked it up!

This video is after about 5 minutes of learning...yeah we were impressed too!!!

Crawfish Time

We got a little craving for some crawfish this weekend and invited Heidi and James and the Louque family over for a little crawfish boil.
Aunt Heidi teaching Mason how to peel his own crawfish...by the end of it he was doing it all by himself. Every time a new batch would come out he would come running saying he wanted more.
Yes both of them wanted crawfish. Josh and I could not peel it fast enough. Even Aunt Heidi was trying to peel too.

Ava's first taste of Crawfish and she LOVED it. Could we have guessed any different?!?!?!

Sick Week

Last week was a little rough. I got a stomach bug on Monday and once I finally started feeling better, Ava got it on Thursday. I think she is finally over the bug, but now she just has not got back to her normal self and she has a cold like the rest of the family. She hasn't eaten really well and she stay really tired and fussy. I am going to try and schedule a doctor visit for Monday and see if maybe she has a ear infection. Hopefully we can find a reason and get whatever it might be taken care of. Hopefully Mason doesn't come down with the stomach bug next week with Josh being gone all week. I will be saying a little prayer.

St. Patrick's Day

Mason and Ava all in their green and ready for some green fun at school.

What a package

I was unloading Ava's diapers into her room and I turned around a found her happily playing in the box. it is amazing how a measly little box can have so many possibilities. If only I can tape it and ship her to Shreveport or Chicago?!?!?!?!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes...I Love Shoes!!

Ever since she has been able to walk Ava loves shoes. If I leave my shoes out or anbody's she will put them on and strut around the house. I guess she is a girl after my own heart and her Ducky's and GG Ma's.

I look good in these...I want one in every color!!!!!

Monster Truck Show

Mason has his ticket and is ready to go. in the couple of days leading up to the Monster truck show he has been seeing commercials about it and would get more and more excited as the days went on.
With his earplugs in...intently watching the trucks race!

Mason's favorite monster truck...Grave digger...Santa Clause this past year brought Mason the Grave Digger so of course we had it in our ours the whole time at the show.

The 3 of us..or the 4 (including Abby). Thanks to Aunt Heidi and Uncle James for watching Ava. Thanks again!!!

Mason had a blast and if you ask him about the Show he will tell you ALL about it so get ready!!!

Z Fest 2009

Z Fest comes to Zachary every year and this is the third year. Mason just loves it when it comes. He always notices it when they are setting everything up as we drive by during the day. We had a blast and got a little wet too.
Mason's favorite part of Z Fest...riding on the school bus!! (this was our transportation from where we parked)
Mason rides while Ava watches..only happened for a little bit

This is the only car he will be driving for awhile!!!

We went to the Festival (as Mason calls it) with the Louque family. This was a mini roller coaster and Mason, Kaleigh , and Mallory loved it!!

Finally Ava get to ride too!!!!!

Spring Soccer Video

This is only time that Ava is sitting at a soccer. This is because she has food...once the food is gone she will be everywhere and trying to get to on the field to get Josh. She keeps me busy at those games!!!

If you watch closely at the very end Mason scores his second goal of his "Career". It is hard to see..he is number 6!

If you notice in this video Mason can't really stay on his feet. I am not sure where he gets his clumsiness from but notice that know one is around Mason when he falls!

Kids workshop

For the past couple of months we have been tkaing Mason to the Home Depot Kids workshop on the 1st Saurday of each month. They get to hammer, nail and glue their projects together. Mason loves it. He is making a race track in this picture, but he has made a token box, a football goal, a race car, ect. He looks forward to this every month. He also gets a pin for every project that he makes and they put it on his Home Depot apron. Everyone at home Depot calls him their "veteran" and they remember him.

First signs of readiness

Ava has been informing Josh and I of when she is going tee tee. She goes and gets a diaper when she needs to be changed and informs us when she is teet teeing. I am hoping all of this means that potty training Ava will be easy. I can only keep my fingers cross.

Fun Times at the beach

Papa and Ducky with their grankids
Mason and Ava loved feeding the birds. These birds would fly up to your hand and take the bread right out.

Papa and Ava having a little silly time!

Mason fishing for the first time. He wasn't really catching anything just practicing. He does love it though!

Ava's first steps on the beach. It took her a little while to get used to but she really enjoyed it!!

Great scenery

I decided that we would try to take some family shots while we were at the beach and thought they turned out pretty good for an amature.
Great family pic but it will soon be changed!!
I asked the kids to show where the baby was and Ava was a bit confused!!

What a sweet girl..in pigtails!!!

The boys..Papa, Mason and Josh

My favorite picture!!!
