NICU

After delivery (about 30minutes) Abby had to be taken to the NICU because of grunting and not breathing well. She stayed in the NICU for 5 days. She started of on a CPAP machine that let continuous oxygen into her lung and the eventually down to noting. She also had jaundice and had to lay under the blue light. My first time to see her sice I had her...it was about 12:30 at night.

Mason's first time to see her.

Abby hooked up to the CPAP machine. She was not very fond of all the wires and tubes.

First ime to breath "room air"!

Abby Renae's Birthday

Abby Renae came into this world at 2:30 p.m. on May 15, 2009. She weighed 6 lbs. and 4.7 ounces. She was 20 inches long. She had a different look than the other two, but is very beautiful!Getting ready for the arrival of our "third" child!!

Proud Daddy for the third time!

Suprise...time to go to the hospital!!

Thursday, May 14, 2009 i started not to feel Abby very much and called the doctor. the nurse told me to count movements and let them know. They then decided to do an ultrasound to make sure and found that i low aminiotic fluid and Abby's birth weight was expected to be around 5'11'. So the doctor decided that it would be best for the baby to come early...almost 3 weeks early. So at 2:30am the next day we headed to the hospital to become induced....

Painting with our food

Ava has starting a thing where she paints her face with her food and we happen to catch it this time on camera. i guess she thinks she is giving herself a facial...who knows it might be good for the skin!!!
Mashed potato face!!!

It is Summertime!!

This was the day of Ava's tube surgery and yes from the pictures she heals quickly!!The kids wanted to play in the sprinkler and this was the first time since it is gotten hot!

They love to slide down the slide with the water running on it!!

Even Ava and Daddy was a big help! It kept him cool!

Little School Parent's Day and Field Day

At Parent's Day the kids' made us waffles and served them to us. They also had a Field Day that was the cutest thing ever. Mason really loved the Field Day...I guess because of the competition!Mason eating waffles at school

Concentrating really hard on not dropping that bunny from the spoon!!

Mason and John David were teammates in this race.

After all the racing they had a melt the ice race, and I think Mason ended up being the smallest.

Only four weeks left...

We are now counting down the weeks till Abby Renae graces us with her presence. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks great. He checked me out and said that there isn't any progress yet, but if there is some progress next week when i go back we will decide on a date to schedule a induction. i am very ready for this pregnancy to be over so I can see my little one. I will keep you all updated!!!

Ava surgery

On Monday May 11, Ava will be going to have tubes put into her ears. She has suffered through a number of ear infections and is currently on antibiotic for another. no mother wants to see her child go through surgery but I know this will help her. Please have her in your prayers on Monday. Her surgery begins around 7:30 am

Huck and Mason...Quality time!

Mason just realized that Huck and Gamma had a ping pong table outside and this time at there house he decided he wanted to play. He loved it. He constantly was asking someone to play with him. Huck played with him quite a bit...a little bonding time.

Getting a little pampering

Josh's cousin, Mary Catherine, had came to visit while we were in Shreeport and asked if she could paint Ava's toenails. I told her sure, I wasn't sure if she would sit there, but she could try. Ava loved it (not suprised) and for days after pointed out her toes. That's my girl!!!!! Thanks again Mary!!Being so very still...not a common accurance

She oohed and ahhhed over her toes!

Helping in the flower beds

Mason really concentrating on trimming the flowers in Gamma's flower bed

Ava really wasn't into the hard labor...

...she just enjoyed the benefits. Like the pretty flowers after cutting.
