I have a BIG helper on my hands...

This morning after we all were dressed and waiting to go to school, Ava decided to get one of her diapers and her baby (that she never plays with) and start to change her diaper. I couldn't believe it because she has never messed with her babies before now. Maybe since we have been putting alot of attention on the fact that we are going to have a baby. It was just too cute. She was concentrating very hard.

See Mom, I can do it!!!

You can see in the video how she is so persistent on putting the diaper on.

Last monthly Appointment

I went to my last monthly doctor visit today. now I start going every two weeks. I can't believe that we are already to this point. Where has the time gone. i have gained two pounds in the last month and the doc said that i am measuring on the small end of the scale but that every is fine. I told him it was because I am constantly chasing 2 kiddos around all the time. He also told me that we are going to have another ultrasound in two weeks. I can't wait ...I was surprise that we were going to do another one. only 8 1/2 weeks to go. It will be here before we know it. He also scheduled a tentative induction date...May 27 or 28. Sounds great to me!!!!

Soccer Party

Mason had is end of the season soccer party on Monday at a local pizza place in Zachary. The kids had a blast and enjoyed eating pizza and getting their trophies. Mason was so excited to get his trophy. I can't believe that the first year of soccer is over..it flew by so fast.Eating Pizza and enjoying time with his soccer friends.

Daddy (Coach Josh) with Mason and his first sports trophy..hopefully more to come!!

Coach Josh and his first soccer team.

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Mason waiting for the instructions on where to go so he get some eggs!!

Ava a little confused why she doesn't have any eggs. She just wasn't fast enough and i don't think she got the idea. Gama is going to have to practice with her like she did Mason!

Mason found lots of eggs. I think Ava was happy with just one.

Zippity Zoo Daze @ the Zoo

Daddy and Ava strolling through the zoo...soon he will have two girls...one on each side.

So very excited about riding the train.

Waiting on the train

Easter Eggstravaganza @ Barnes and Nobles

Barnes and Nobles and LPB put on a Easter party for kids in Baton Rouge this past Friday. We decided to take the kids because there was going be things for them to do and they would get to see the Easter Bunny. It was a little crazy and wild, but we all had fun!!WE took the kids to take a picture with the Easter and Ava wasn't to sure about that. Then along comes Clifford the Big Red Dog and as you can see she was not a happy camper.

Mason got to decorate a cupcake that was HUGE. I had never seen a cupcake that big. Needless to say he did not eat it all!!

The Raising Cane's dog was there as well and Mason thought that was the coolest things ever.

Blowing Bubbles

It was such a nice day during the week that I decided to get the bubble out play with the kids. They had a blast. They laughed so hard...at each other mostly, but it was good to see them playing together and enjoying each other.

It is just so wonderful to see my kids playing together and laughing.

Get those bubbles Ava!

Look at that team work...now you don't see that often!!

A new Accomplishment

This weekend we took Mason and Ava for a walk around the block like we always do when it is nice outside. When we got back to the house Mason asked us if he could take his training wheels off of his bike and learn to ride ride without them. Josh and I looked at each other and said, "I guess so". The first time he got on his bike he took off. He never really fell off or got frustrated. Needless to say he is a bike rider without training wheels. He is so proud of himself and so are we. This is another sign that is growing up and I can't believe it.Ava wanted help with taking the training wheels off and of course she had to be in the picture!!

This is Mason first time on the bike with the training wheels. We could believe how fast he picked it up!

This video is after about 5 minutes of learning...yeah we were impressed too!!!

Crawfish Time

We got a little craving for some crawfish this weekend and invited Heidi and James and the Louque family over for a little crawfish boil.
Aunt Heidi teaching Mason how to peel his own crawfish...by the end of it he was doing it all by himself. Every time a new batch would come out he would come running saying he wanted more.
Yes both of them wanted crawfish. Josh and I could not peel it fast enough. Even Aunt Heidi was trying to peel too.

Ava's first taste of Crawfish and she LOVED it. Could we have guessed any different?!?!?!

Sick Week

Last week was a little rough. I got a stomach bug on Monday and once I finally started feeling better, Ava got it on Thursday. I think she is finally over the bug, but now she just has not got back to her normal self and she has a cold like the rest of the family. She hasn't eaten really well and she stay really tired and fussy. I am going to try and schedule a doctor visit for Monday and see if maybe she has a ear infection. Hopefully we can find a reason and get whatever it might be taken care of. Hopefully Mason doesn't come down with the stomach bug next week with Josh being gone all week. I will be saying a little prayer.

St. Patrick's Day

Mason and Ava all in their green and ready for some green fun at school.

What a package

I was unloading Ava's diapers into her room and I turned around a found her happily playing in the box. it is amazing how a measly little box can have so many possibilities. If only I can tape it and ship her to Shreveport or Chicago?!?!?!?!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes...I Love Shoes!!

Ever since she has been able to walk Ava loves shoes. If I leave my shoes out or anbody's she will put them on and strut around the house. I guess she is a girl after my own heart and her Ducky's and GG Ma's.

I look good in these...I want one in every color!!!!!

Monster Truck Show

Mason has his ticket and is ready to go. in the couple of days leading up to the Monster truck show he has been seeing commercials about it and would get more and more excited as the days went on.
With his earplugs in...intently watching the trucks race!

Mason's favorite monster truck...Grave digger...Santa Clause this past year brought Mason the Grave Digger so of course we had it in our ours the whole time at the show.

The 3 of us..or the 4 (including Abby). Thanks to Aunt Heidi and Uncle James for watching Ava. Thanks again!!!

Mason had a blast and if you ask him about the Show he will tell you ALL about it so get ready!!!

Z Fest 2009

Z Fest comes to Zachary every year and this is the third year. Mason just loves it when it comes. He always notices it when they are setting everything up as we drive by during the day. We had a blast and got a little wet too.
Mason's favorite part of Z Fest...riding on the school bus!! (this was our transportation from where we parked)
Mason rides while Ava watches..only happened for a little bit

This is the only car he will be driving for awhile!!!

We went to the Festival (as Mason calls it) with the Louque family. This was a mini roller coaster and Mason, Kaleigh , and Mallory loved it!!

Finally Ava get to ride too!!!!!
