Squeaky Shoes!!

When Aunt candy and my Mom went over China to get Halle they had bought her these squeaky shoes. Well, she wasn't able to fit into them and when Aunt Candy found out that I was pregnant with Ava she asked Halle if Ava could have them. I decided to try them on her feet to see if she would be able to wear them this fall and low and behold they do fit. Ava LOVES them. I am not to sure that Daddy loves them but they are great for not losing your child in a crowd somewhere.

Thanks again Aunt Candy and Halle for the squeaky shoes!!!

A Day in New Orleans...

We took a trip to New Orleans on Saturday since we really haven't done anything summer as a family. We first went to the Saints practice , then the Children's Museum, and then to the River Walk for lunch. It was a little hot but I think the kids had fun.
Mason and Ava sitting on the stands watching the Saints practice. Mason just loved that they were so close to him. Ava kept saying the whole way back to the car, " basetball fast"...in other words Football fast!!!
Mason checking his speed while throwing a baseball...about 15 MPH!!

Ava pulling really hard to get that "Gator" out!

Abby just relaxed and went with the flow. She was such a great baby to have with us!!

Mason and Ava in the pretend Eye doctor office. Mason is checking Ava's eyes!!

Twirling with the ribbons...look at that she is doing a "pl'eat"! I guess that is how you spell it...like in Ballet

Pulling a BIG bubble around themselves!

Mason crabbing out of the boat!

Ava found the broom in the pretend Cafe

Getting Mommy something to drink!

Shopping in the pretend grocery store
Ava just loved shopping in the grocery store..can't you tell!!

She is going to be a cashier just like her mommy. My first job was a cashier at Kroger.
Mason watching the Mr. Rogers trolley go back and forth...I think he should have stayed there forever.
Josh and Mason putting on a puppet show.

Watching how to make fudge at the River Walk
We had to leave a little early because Mason started breaking out in hives...Poor thing...he was miserable!!

Every since Mason could walk he would mow right along with Josh. Now Ava has taken interst in it al well. So I caught them the other day all three outside moving. It was the cutest thing. Only if they worked we would be in business!!!

Ava got grass in her shoes so she had to take them off and wipe out her shoes

Chubby

Abby is getting chubbier and chubbier. You can tell in this picture that she has little rolls on her arms and she has a double chin. She is such a laid back baby and kind of sometimes just goes with the flow. I guess she has to, to be able to keep up with Mason and Ava.

Welcoming Abram John Fruge

I am so glad to finally meet my Godson Abram john Fruge. He was born Wednesday, July 15, 2009 (exactly two moths after Abby) to Jill and Casey Fruge. He weighed a whopping 5 lbs. and 10 oz. and 19 inches long. He is precious in every way. He is going to call me Nanny Rae and can't wait to watch him grow!!!

Pearce Grandkids

While we were in Shreveport we decided to drive out to Doyline and visit with my brother and the Pearce clan. We did not get to stay for too long, but while we were there the kids really enjoyed it. The is a picture of all of Ducky and Papa's grand kids.

Austin, Abby, Mason, Ashley, and Ava

Breakfast at Sunrise!!!!

Mason and Ava got up about 7 a.m. one morning while we were in Shreveport and Huck decided to go get the paper and sit outside and read it. Well, the kids wanted to get a chair too, but they also decided they wanted to sit outside with Huck and eat breakfast. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. They sat on either side of Huck while he read the paper and they ate their breakfast. Things like that make such wonderful memories!!!

Spending time at Gamma and Huck's

Now that we have 3 kids, When I pack to go to Shreveport it is a little harder to make sure we remember everything. This time i forgot to pack Ava some P.J.'s, so we decided to put her in one of Mason's shirts. She loved it. She thought it was so neat to be able to wear her big brother's shirt to bed. Mason liked it too!!!

Ava loves to clean any chance she gets. So when Gamma was wiping the floor down Ava decided she wanted to help her. Gamma just loved it that Ava liked helping clean!!!

Abby was baptized on July 4, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary, La. Her Godparents are Casey and Jill Fruge. Thanks you to all the friends and family that joined us for this wonderful occasion.
